Your bitter blind broke gap toothed radio show host Chuck Mertz welcomes back irregular correspondents Danny Muller and Brian Mier.

Danny Muller — who gives ‘The Wasted Energy Report’ on This is Hell! – posted an article at Counterpunch which he co-wrote with founder and Executive Director of the Middle East Children’s Alliance Barbara Lubin. That post is headlined, “The Betrayal of Helen Thomas: Fearlessness in Pursuit of the Truth.” Danny has worked with Barbara and the Middle East Children’s Alliance since they were jointly breaking the economic sanctions against Iraq with Voices in the Wilderness in the 1990’s. Danny has also worked with MECA in Palestine. Danny also works with Konbit Sante, a group working to improve healthcare in Haiti. Danny is a war tax resister and war abolitionist.

live from Rio de Janeiro, Brian Mier is one of This is Hell!’s newest irregular correspondents. Brian’s a geographer and freelance journalist who works as a policy analyst at the Centro de Direitos Economicos e Sociais. He also hosts a podcast called, “Progressive Brazil.” Earlier this month, he posted the article, “General Strike in Brazil Responds to Wave of Street Protests,” at the Center for Economic Policy and Research website. Brian’s writing can also be found at Vice Magazine’s website including his articles, “A Pit Stop On The Cocaine Corridor: Militias and Drug Gangs Go to War for Rio. and, “Stuck in Bahia.”
