Rein is professor and chair of international law at King’s College, London. Rein has been a visiting professor at the London School of Economics, a member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee, and (in 1991-92) first deputy foreign minister of Estonia. He is the author of seven books on international law and politics, including most recently, “Central Asia: A Chessboard and Player in the New Great Game” (Kegan Paul).
