- Stan Cox is a plant breeder and writer in Salina, Kansas. Stan’s book, “Losing Our Cool: Uncomfortable Truths About Our Air-Conditioned World (And Finding New Ways to Get Through the Summer),” will be published in June by The New Press. On Thursday, Stan posted the article, “Cold War: Militarism, Torture … and Air Conditioning?
- award-winning writer Rebecca Solnit, is the author of “A Paradise Built in Hell: The Extraordinary Communities that Arise in Disaster” (Viking). This week, Rebecca posted the article, “350 Degrees of Inseparability: The Good News About the Very Bad News (about Climate Change).”
- John Feffer is co-director of Foreign Policy In Focus at the Institute for Policy Studies. John posted the piece, “Nuclear Follies: Are we in the process of giving up our nuclear addiction, or is this just flimflam from an addict who refuses to go cold turkey?,” on Tuesday.
