“All social progress in this country … has come from an alliance of social democratic movements on the ground … and a strong centralized state” (Corey Robin).  This is simply incorrect.  General Fremont, first Repuplican candidate for President, freed the slaves in Missouri prior to the Emancipation Proclamation.  Fremon’t order was reversed by Lincoln.  So social progress came about DESPITE the strong centralized state, NOT AS THE RESULT OF AN ALLIANCE.  I know that the ridiculing of Ron Paul is fun and easy, but he remains the ONLY CANDIDATE OF EITHER PARTY CALLING FOR A SCALING BACK OF THE US EMPIRE.  And he is the ONLY CANDIDATE TO RENOUNCE LEGALIZED MURDER OF AMERICAN CITIZENS WITHOUT ARREST OR CHARGE OR TRIAL BY THE PRESIDENT.  And he is the ONLY CANDIDATE TO CRITICIZE THE NDAA FOR ITS TRASHING OF CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.  Your continued ridicule approaches bullying.  I hope dear Ron doesn’t jump off a bridge, because then you would feel bad, Chuck.

  • Yakoff Smirnoff

I’m not sure I would feel bad about any of the candidates jumping off a bridge. Wait I am sure. I wouldn’t.  Picking the less of all evils is a way of saying their is no good choice. That’s why THIS IS HELL.
