Gideon Levy is a columnist at Haaretz and a member of their editorial board. Gideon posts the weekly Twilight Zone feature, which covers the Israeli occupation in the West Bank and Gaza over the last 25 years, as well as the writer of political editorials for the newspaper. He was the recipient of the Euro-Med Journalist Prize for 2008; the Leipzig Freedom Prize in 2001; the Israeli Journalists’ Union Prize in 1997; and The Association of Human Rights in Israel Award for 1996. His latest book is, &#8220;The Punishment of Gaza&#8221; (Verso). His latest writing at Haaretz is, &#8220;With settlement resolution veto, Obama has joined Likud.&#8221;

Lisa Hajjar is a professor in the sociology department at the University of California-Santa Barbara. live from Kandahar, Felix Kuehn is co-author of the new Center on International Cooperation report, &#8220;Separating the Taliban from Al Qaeda: The Core of Success in Afghanistan.&#8221; Felix is co-founder of AfghanWire, an internet-based news and information service that monitors Afghanistan’s national media outlets. He is co-editor of &#8220;Abdul Salam Zaeef, My Life With the Taliban&#8221; (Hurst). A book-length study of the themes explored in this paper will be published in April 2011 entitled, &#8220;An Enemy We Created: The Myth of the Taliban/Al Qaeda Merger in Afghanistan, 1970-2010&#8243; (Hurst).
Will Bunch, a senior writer at the Philadelphia Daily News, is author of the book, “The Backlash: Right-Wing Radicals, High-Def Hucksters, and Paranoid Politics in the Age of Obama” (HarperCollins). Will also wrote 2009′s, “Tear Down This Myth: How the Reagan Legacy Has Distorted Our Politics and Haunts Our Future” (Simon &#38; Schuster). He is also a senior fellow at Media Matters for America.
Mark LeVine is a professor of history at UC Irvine and senior visiting researcher at the Centre for Middle Eastern Studies at Lund University in Sweden. Mark&#8217;s most recent books are Heavy Metal Islam (Random House) and Impossible Peace: Israel/Palestine Since 1989 (Zed Books).
